DVFree believes in a world where regardless of gender, every men and women lives in safety, free from all forms of abuse. Our vision is a future without violence that provides education, safety, justice, and hope to all people.
DV Free was formed out of a need to see a non-gender-based organisation to assist all those involved in domestic violence and by developing aids, tools and guides that inform and educate on the harm family and domestic violence does to families and individuals.
You may ask why domestic violence and motorcycle?
In late September 2016, I decided to learn how to ride a motorcycle. What I didn’t realize was the felling I felt for the first time in 13 years since experiencing domestic violence. Riding a motorcycle provides me with the feeling of peace, freedom, safety and knowledge that I can achieve anything in life regardless of what obstacle lies in front of me. It is a great way to show people that regardless of what is in front of you, you are able to achieve it, you just need to take the first step. My first step is starting to ride a motorcycle.
Join me online or in person, as I travel around Australia on my off-road motorcycle, spreading the word and helping others who have, or are still suffering as I once did, and learn how to live DV Free.
